Major Inventions
Many inventions created is what made the revolution a turning point in history. The steam engine was developed which helped people carry merchandise to different destination. The first car was created in 1769 by Nicholas Cugnot which was a steam powered road-car and was used by the French army to move cannons from a certain point to another. Gasoline-powered international combustion engine invented by Nikolaus Otto is an engine that operates by burning fuel inside the engine. Orville and Wilbur Wright designed a flimsy airplane known as Kitty Hawk. Samuel F. B. Morse developed the first telegraph, and on May 24, 1844 Morse sends the first telegraph message from the Supreme Court chamber in Washington, D.C., to the B & O Railroad Depot in Baltimore, Maryland which stated, “What hath God Wrought?”
